"I have been sewing all of my life. My earliest memory of making apparel is from about age 3 or 4 when I made a green Kleenex® dress for my Barbie® that was 'sewn' with cellophane tape. Until age 18 I made doll clothes, designing and drafting my own patterns. Then, my cousin had her first baby and I discovered how much I loved designing and sewing baby clothes. I took full advantage of the pattern drafting classes at the university I was attending and I've been designing babyclothes, and more, ever since.
I've always been naturally-oriented and eco-conscious. My passion for spreading the word on natural birth and cloth diapering led me to become a doula in 1995, and this, along with my love of sewing, design and pattern drafting, eventually brought me to the start of New Conceptions™ in 1999."
